Moovin Zpotz Dart 37D (BMZ 37D) | JAD Speckle Park

We saw Moovin Zpotz Dart 37D (BMZ 37D) at Johner Stock Farm in Canada in November 2018. He is the sire of JSF Creed 1F, who was a heifer’s first calf and was selected from a huge line-up to win Champion Bull Calf at Agribition that year. Dart presents as the ultimate outcross sire suitable for heifers, and on top of that he offers Q-select genetic testing (what’s this?) that is as good as it gets.

He is a Leptin TT sire, as is Creed, which means he has increased genetic potential related to fat accumulation, milk production, cow longevity, weaning weight and carcase composition. Exactly what we need more of in the commercial beef industry! It’s what’s under the skin that counts. Dart’s full genetic testing is as follows:
Leptin: TT
PMCH: AA
IGF2: CC
CRH: GG
Myostatin non-carrier
Homozygous Polled
Homozygous Black Coat Colour.

What we loved most about Dart upon inspection is his outstanding feet and leg structure. He’s bred from a dam that has been praised as one of the best structured Speckle Park cows seen. Dart has the older style, powerful Speckle Park head and front end. Bulls are meant to look like bulls, and Dart is all that!

We produced 16 Dart progeny at JAD in Spring 2020 – the first Dart progeny to be born in Australia – and a selection of these will be offered at our 2022 JAD Sale. Dart has produced several low birthweight, white, leptin TT bulls that will be ideal for use over heifers.
