We regretfully sold JAD Sunday Silence S27 (JAD S27) at our 2023 JAD Sale, with him being purchased for $20,000 by repeat clients from Central QLD. He was a bull that Justin always really admired and really didn’t want to sell! When his new owners decided to retire from agriculture in early 2024 and sell their property, we were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to bring Sunday Silence back to his first home.
Sunday Silence is bred out of one of the best stud cows on our property and is sired by another very successful sire in our… Continue reading →

We purchased Minnamurra Tulsa (MPC T70) as the $24,000 top-priced bull of the 2024 Minnamurra on-property bull sale. He is sired by JAD Nosey Jack N13, who was a leader in his contemporary group here at JAD prior to his sale to Minnamurra at the inaugural JAD sale in 2019. Nosey Jack has gone on to breed very well for Minnamurra, which all contributed to the appeal of his son, Tulsa. Tulsa is:
- Incredibly docile
- Excellent structure
- Balanced dataset
We used Tulsa as an AI sire and back-up bull over stud heifers in late 2024, and he came through joining… Continue reading →

JAD The Marshall T87 (JAD T87) is arguably the most complete sire we have bred to date. The Marshall weighed in at 917kg at 26 months old, off grass only, after being used as a yearling. His first progeny were born in Spring 2024. They are consistently the most impressive calves in each mob.
The Marshall shares maternal genetics with our other star sire, JAD Quistacat Q48. Quistacat’s dam, JSF Paddy 34D, is The Marshall’s maternal granddam. We sold The Marshall’s dam, JAD 24E Paddy Q38, at our 2021 JAD Sale for $22,000, and later purchased her back… Continue reading →
We purchased a one-third interest in New Zealand bull, Maungahina Nikko (MAU N264), at the 2019 Maungahina Speckle Park Sale. His first calves were born here in Spring 2020, and they will be a feature at our 2022 sale.
Nikko is a son of Maungahina Legacy (MAU L260), a sire that we believe it one of the breed’s very best. Others clearly agree – Legacy semen sold for a world record NZD$5150/straw at the 2020 Maungahina Stud Sale, and Legacy embryos sold for a world record NZD$6500/embryo at the 2021 Maungahina Stud Sale! Legacy’s first progeny were born here in 2019, with 37 more born here in 2020. Nikko was not only one of the first breeding-age Legacy sons to sell in the world but he was bred from one of Maugahina’s best cows in Maungahina J13 – a daughter of SPKNZ Falcon. Nikko has exceptional depth of body, constitution, and outlook. At the time of sale, he was in the top 3% of the breed for 600-day weight, and top 4% for 200-day weight and eye muscle area (EMA).
