Marlin represents our very first investment into a stud sire for JAD Speckle Park, and he will be used to back up an AI program on our 2017-drop stud heifers. We inspected Marlin and his contemporaries at length ahead of bidding to $30,000 for him at the 2018 Minnamurra Sale, Coolah. He was the bull we went to the sale to buy – terrific structure, temperament, and a deep and easy-fleshing body with that early maturity pattern that is so important to us. He’s a cracker! We inspected his sire, Redneck JSF Whiskey 4B, in Canada in 2016, as well as Whiskey’s dam, Redneck Whiskey 7W. Marlin scanned the highest Rib Fat and equal highest P8 Fat of all 48 bulls catalogued at the 2018 Minnamurra sale.
