We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at our 5th JAD Sale, held on March 31, 2023, and thank each and every person who came along. It was great to see our largest offering of bulls to date all go out into the industry, with cattle sold to every state of Australia. A big thanks to the team at Macdeb Livestock Transport, who delivered the sale animals without fuss. It has been great to hear from people who bought online and have been particularly pleased with the quality of their new JAD animals upon delivery. That has been a real thrill for us!

Summary of Results:

A huge thank you to Ben and Ellie Wesley, Bigstar Speckle Park, and Ron Potter Farms, both of Hillston, for purchasing the top-priced bull, JAD Sizzler S50, who is by our resident sire, Minnamurra Montezuma M25, and out of JAD E11 Amy’s Girl Q5.
- All 18 PTIC purebred registered heifers sold to average $11,667 and top at $20,000 for JAD 5E Northern Star S106, who was purchased by Celia Mackay, Celamba Speckle Park, Tarawera, QLD.
- 12/12 commercial bulls sold to average $8583 and top at $18,000 for JAD S208 – a son of Minnamurra Montezuma M25.

- Six lots of five semen straws averaged $496 and topped at $650/straw for semen from our co-owned sire, Maungahina Nikko. We were stoked to see semen from our home-bred sire, JAD Quistacat Q48, sell for $600/straw.
- $3500 donated to the Black Dog Institute – 10% of the sale price of the Lot 2 bull (JAD S31, pictured above right), which was purchased by Minnamurra Speckle Park. We have now donated a combined $13,700 to the Black Dog Institute through this initiative at our first five sales.
